‎Mohamed El-Saeed El-Helw‎ to USMLE Step 2 CK Study Group

Hi Guys,
I want to share my experience regarding my CK exam
Medical school - Mansoura school of medicine, Egypt
Test center: Lexington, Kentucky
Test day - 27th August
Score: 241
No assessments at all!
No 120 free Questions!
UW 3 times (3000Q) from scratch!
One and half weeks before exam, I was trying to read and digest EVERY Question and Answer in UW
Cardiology Qs all in one day
Obs/Gyna all in one day
Infection Q all in 1/2 day, etc....
Psychiatry Qs all in 3 hours , last thing i did in last night of my exam in hotel.
Two nights before exam, I read again all ECG, All charts, All tables, respiration and endocrine ( my weakness in UW ), summarize all biostat in piece of paper to review very quick before arriving to prometric.
I subscribed UWSA1 but didn’t do it till 45 minutes before exam when I just did 10 questions and clicked on end block
( 4 wrong Questions out of 10 ) I was so stressed at that time but I was preparing my stuff to go for exam and leave the hotel
I wanted to do my exam anyway, I decided NOT to postpone it!!
Self assessments are lying at least for me- I don’t trust them especially after my step one exam which I did 4 years ago.
Two hours After my exam, I realized that I got 20 wrong questions in exam so I couldn’t decide if I should be happy or not!
Best wishes!

MRCS PART A – EXPERIENCE

DURATION OF STUDY – 3.5-4 months (with work )  Pattern of study  Paper 1 ( Basic sciences )  Anatomy – Emrcs with NASA khan notes ( best part about these notes are he copied all the colourful pics from Snell’s anatomy along with emrcs theory ) . Make small pics for imagination of anatomical relationship .... A big chunk of questions are from anatomy , this needs to be done in a crystal clearway .. Physiology – raftry with emrcs  Pathology – raftry few topics and emrcs Pharma and micro – emrcs  I read raftry for physio complete twice , patho and micro once only  Biostatistics – emrcs  For basic sciences reading emrcs with its theory is more than enough with few references from text books to make the concepts clear  Fawzia sheets for paper one is very very very important , somehow in every session of this examination RCS is putting almost 50-60% paper from these sheets ... Don’t leave them .... Read them at least three times .... Pape...
