OLD graduate Step 1 experience --237

I am an old IMG (Graduated 2006) and full time working urologist.
Step 1 experience
Total study time 6 months (2-3 hrs/day)
Dedicated study time 2 weeks.
Resources used
UWorld single pass (made flash cards for review)
FA double pass but skipped reproductive part
BnB
Pathoma videos
DIT (some parts)
Paul bolin (basic sciences and medicine) youtube videos
UWSA1 247 taken a week before
UWSA 2 237 taken 2 days before
No NBME or other tests taken.
UWorld and FA are indispensable. In my opinion, BnB is the best video resource for step 1 (if you want to use only one video resource) which I found a little late during my study time. I got only last one month to go through them. Biostats is specially very good in BnB. I practiced every biostats and hardy Weinberg questions several time which paid off well. They are very easy points that should not be missed.
DIT is good in some parts but not as a whole. Pathoma is good but very lengthy to revise. Again if you must use single resource then only BnB is my choice. Multiple passes (2-3) through UW, FA and BnB can do wonders.
Real exam felt much more confusing and difficult than UW but that might be my personal feeling. In every block, I flagged 15-18 questions as an average to review.
All the best to all of you.

USMLE Guidance

Salam everyone. Here are my experience and insight into the programs I interviewed at. I took the program location, program environment, and halal food places into prime consideration while ranking. My interview calls were: Internal Medicine Rank-ables: 1-UCONN Farmington- I loved the program. A lot of desi residents. a huge sized program, approx 45 residents per year, . J1 visa. But the program does offer J1 Waiver. Some good restaurants around. You can always travel to NYC which is about 2 hours drive. 2-Allegheny General Pittsburgh- Very nice PD. Good research opportunities esp in Rheumatology. J1 Visa. IV is laid back. 3- UPMC Mckeesport Pittsburgh. The program gave me a homely feeling from the very first moment. Everyone was super nice, especially PC Angela. University-affiliated Community Hospital. Many Kemcolians in the program, Easily accessible desi groceries and restaurants in the neighborhood, H1b Visa. I missed my flight the night before the interview. Had to travel on...
